Orthotics are available in various over-the-counter inserts for the treatment of feet, heels and minor problems. For example, arch supports can be added to the shoes to help correct overarched or smooth feet, but gel insoles are often used to provide comfort and relief from pain in the feet and heels.

Custom Made Orthotics are arch supports made from a mold of your feet. To create the orthotics, we send an impression kit to get the suitable mold for the foot. One of our orthotics laboratories will then perform a scan and create the orthotic insert based on your ordered options. There are a wide variety of “custom orthotics” available at our Centre. If you have tight shoes, ski boots, dress shoes, get one of the dress orthotics.
Custom made orthotics in Canada are specially designed to care for and comfort the feet. Prescription orthotics are for you and not for anyone else. They follow your soles well and are designed to suit your movements. Orthotics are made after a podiatrist has evaluated the foot, ankle, and foot to match your foot’s structure and unique pathology.
Since most people suffer from some discomfort, these types of assistive devices benefit almost everyone. Talk to your care provider to determine if custom orthotics are right for you.
The store-bought orthotics are designed for various feet and are not explicitly designed to meet your specific needs. A specially designed and custom-made orthotic is recommended after a biochemical analysis of your foot, foot function, and foot structure.
There are various styles available, ranging from athletic shoes to men’s and women’s dress shoes, even pediatric and diabetic shoes.
